Katie joined in 2020 and is focused on high-growth technology companies. Prior to Accel, she worked for IrishAngels, an angel investing group, and Glynn Capital. She’s from Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame.
Get to know Katie
What was your first job?
I’ve had the fortune of working as a soccer referee, Starbucks barista, Shipt shopper, and most recently, as an investor. However, my first job was manning a fruit and vegetable stand for a local Wisconsin farm. Every morning, I’d pack up crates of produce, drive a Penske truck to my stand, and try to sell as much as I could before the sun went down.
What’s your all-time favorite movie, TV show, OR book?
I love every Ocean’s movie, but have a soft spot for Ocean’s 8. Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling…it’s a stacked cast with an incredible heist. If it’s available on a plane, you can bet I’m watching it.
If you could have any superpower?
Teleportation! With my parents in Green Bay (go Pack!) and my friends spread across eleven states and two continents, travel time is the biggest barrier to spending quality, in-person time with the people I love. I have a lot of appreciation for phones, Zoom, and non-stop flights, but teleportation is the dream.
