Rahul joined in 2024 as Chief Product Officer. Prior to Accel, he was at Drip Capital, an Accel-backed digital trade finance platform, and worked in product and business strategy at Google’s Payments and SMB Ads businesses. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey and Citibank. He grew up in India and Singapore, and graduated from Nanyang Technological University and the University of Pennsylvania.

If you could have any superpower?
The superpower to absorb other people's superpowers (like Peter from Heroes!). I've had a chance to meet so many fantastic people with incredible superpowers. I'd love to have all of them.
What was your first job?
My very first job out of high school was as a promoter for a new small-scale shoe brand. It was a 3-day stint, but taught me a ton about asking questions and being a good listener to really tailor my product pitch to the customer's needs. I sold about 100 pairs in those 3 days, well above expectations (too bad I didn't know enough about quotas or commissions back then!)
What’s your favorite invention or innovation?
At the risk of sounding cliched, the iPhone was a complete game-changer. The transformation of a phone into a powerful small computer that puts everything from commerce to health, finance, and information right into your pocket has made each person so much more productive and unlocked so many new opportunities.
