Sonali joined in 2008 and invests in consumer internet, software, and fintech businesses. Prior to Accel, she was with Atlas Venture (now Accomplice). She is from Mumbai and graduated from Bryn Mawr College and Harvard.

What’s the most impactful piece of advice you’ve received?
It will all become clear if you just sleep on it, from my grandmother in an effort to help me avoid making decisions when most impassioned. I've made great use of these valued few words in the investment business. Everything is more clear in the morning!
What’s your all-time favourite movie, TV show, OR book?
My all-time favourite book is Fine Balance, by Rohinton Mistry. It is an epic tale that weaves together the lives of four ordinary people in the relentless and gritty city of Mumbai. Its mundanity is its brilliance, as is the constant balance he finds between absolute despair and eternal hope.
If you could master any skill instantly?
I would definitely learn to catapult from being a less-than-amateur EDM DJ to one who can master all the needed creative and technical feats.
