Rafael joined in 2022 and focuses on early-stage AI, fintech, and consumer businesses. He started his career in college, working full-time at Allfunds.com before its IPO. He later helped launch a seed fund as the fund’s first and only hire, where he worked closely with the founders to expand their international footprint and supported companies like BeReal with U.S. expansion efforts. Rafael graduated from King’s College London and Imperial College Business School.

What was your first job?
I joined Allfunds.com in 2017 as a summer intern, trying to help wherever possible with my non-existent skillset. It was love at first sight: I loved the intensity, the speed of execution, and the opportunity to make an impact. It also expanded my understanding of what aiming for an IPO and having ambitious investors truly means. I extended my internship and stayed full-time throughout my bachelor's degree, working during the week and studying on the weekends.
Who most inspires you?
Anyone who operates at an extra gear, consistently pushing toward mastering a craft or building something — whether in the arts, sports, work or at home!
If you could master any skill instantly what would it be?
Master the basics of any language instantly. Understanding and navigating different cultures is the most significant competitive advantage one can have!
