Cynthia joined in 2001 as the firm’s controller and is responsible for financial reporting, tax planning, and accounting. Prior to Accel, she worked in the Professional Services division at Lucent Technologies and held finance roles at two Bay Area startups and a marketing and design firm in Maryland. She graduated from the University of Maryland.

What was your first job?
I was a hostess at a restaurant where I quickly learned to be organized, plan ahead and the importance of customer interfacing; to stay calm, especially when dealing with difficult customers.
What’s the most impactful piece of advice you’ve received?
"Don't be afraid to ask questions. You got nothing to lose. The more you ask, the more you learn." That's what my Mom always says to us and has been ingrained in my brain.
If you could have any superpower,?
I would like to have the "KNOW IT ALL" ability. I want to be able to resolve problems/issues quickly and be helpful!! This will make my life more interesting and easier for everyone around me!
