Pierce joined in 2023 and focuses on supporting companies building in enterprise software, security, and AI. Before Accel, he worked at Boston Consulting Group in their Principal Investors and Private Equity practice. He’s originally from South Carolina and graduated from Yale.

What would you do with an hour of unexpected free time?
As much as I would love to say that I'd spend the hour painting, going on a hike, reading a book, doing a Barry's class, or testing out a new recipe (all things I do genuinely love)... I'd probably use half of it to call my mom/grandparents and the other half to watch reality TV.
If you could master any skill instantly?
I would love to be a natural at learning languages. Being able to communicate with people in their native tongue helps to bridge gaps and allows for connection on a much deeper level. The reality is that I pretty much exclusively communicate in English, my semi-proficient Spanish and iffy Italian notwithstanding,
What was your first job?
I'm a people person at heart, so my first job as a cashier at my local Piggly Wiggly (grocery store) was a blast for 15-year-old me. While I don't spend quite as much time counting change at Accel, my passion for meeting and getting to know founders was indeed seeded by the fun I had interfacing with customers at the Pig.
