Miles joined in 2009 and helps lead the firm's growth fund, investing in AI, cloud, and enterprise companies. Prior to Accel, he worked in product management at lynda.com. He is from New Orleans and graduated from the University of Virginia and Harvard.

What was your first job?
Folding shirts in the stockroom at Abercrombie & Fitch in New Orleans. I never earned that elusive promotion to the front of store.
What’s the most impactful piece of advice you’ve received?
"You get what you give," from my grandmother when I was 7 years old. I think about this almost daily.
What’s your all-time favorite movie, TV show, or book?
Just about anything written by Michael Lewis. He tends to cover the same things I love – sports, fatherhood, business, and New Orleans. The New New Thing was my orientation to Silicon Valley when I moved here, The Big Short captured the value of original thinking as an investor, Home Game guided me through the first 6 months of being a dad.
