Casey joined in 2022 and focuses on early-stage investments in cloud-native infrastructure, open-source software, and security companies. Before Accel, she worked at Costanoa Ventures, an early-stage enterprise fund, and prior to that, she was a software engineer at Pinterest, joining through the acquisition of URX (an Accel-backed company). She’s from Palm Beach, Florida, and graduated from Dartmouth College.
Get to know Casey
What was your first job?
My first job was at a seed-stage startup. It’s what brought me to the Bay Area, created my lifelong passion for learning new technical concepts (quickly!), and continues to give me empathy for the chaos of early-stage company building. Being an engineer on a small team is fun because it’s so interdisciplinary—you get to understand how the product works inside and out, on top of being close to the early users.
What’s your all-time favorite movie, TV show, OR book?
I have simple tastes… How to Train Your Dragon.
