About Jonathan
Jonathan joined in 2022 and focuses on later-stage consumer, fintech, and enterprise companies. Prior to Accel, he was Managing Partner at Headline VC. Previously, he co-founded Qatalyst Partners, an M&A advisory firm focused on the technology sector, where he led the Software and Consumer Technology practices. He has served as an adviser to the UK government on technology and finance, and is currently a director of Tottenham Hotspur. Jonathan graduated from Oxford University.

What’s the most impactful piece of advice you’ve received?
“Take business risk, but don’t take people risk”. We are who we associate and partner with, our reputations are our most important asset. I’m not willing to sacrifice integrity for anything and don’t think anyone should have to. Some of the most successful people on the planet are the best people and kindest people. No compromise!
What’s your favorite invention or innovation?
Flight. For humans to build machines to fly is counterintuitive to our senses, but magical. Flight has expanded our horizons, allowed humanity to advance, driven commerce and cultural diversity. When we find innovations that feel magical, we are in a special place.
What’s your all-time favorite movie, TV show, or book?
Book - One Hundred Years of Solitude. I could live in this book forever
Movie - Shawshank Redemption. No explanation needed!
TV show - South Park. Because sometimes laughing so hard you cry is the best thing in life,

I think we all know I am big Spurs fan, so you will see COYS (Come On You Spurs) virtually everywhere I am!
