Lara Woo

Lara joined in 2026 to develop and manage Accel's investor relationships. Prior to Accel, she led investor relations for Innovation Endeavors. Lara worked as an allocator for 10 years, holding positions at Point Olema Capital Partners and Maverick Capital. Earlier in her career, she worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. Lara grew up in Connecticut and graduated from New York University's Stern School.

What’s something people are surprised to learn about you?

People are surprised to learn that I have been practicing the flying trapeze since I was 10 years old. I still dream of having a chapter in my life where I can run away and join the circus!

If you could master any skill instantly, what would it be?

Fluency in every language. I'd love to speak and understand every language to connect with lots of different people across the globe. Being fluent everywhere would let me move through different cultures authentically, building meaningful relationships and experiencing the world the way locals do.

What’s the most impactful piece of advice you’ve received?

Comparison is the thief of joy - this is a famous quote whose true source is debated, but I feel like I learned this lesson very early in life. I try to focus on the things I can control and the things that actually make me happy, rather than measuring myself against what everyone else is doing.
