If you could master any skill instantly, what would it be?

I would master the zen tea ceremony, chado. This art form encompasses architecture, floral arrangement, ceramics, and the preparation and enjoyment of tea. It requires focus, appreciation of detail, and the ability to live in the moment -- all skills I seek to cultivate.

What's something most people are surprised to learn about you?

I studied abroad in St Petersburg, Russia, for six months studying art history at some of the world's best museums. During that time, I consumed my weight in pies and pierogi while navigating my way to school through pro-Stalin street protests.

What's your all time favorite move, TV show or book?

A Suitable Boy, Vikram Seth. I read it ten years after I bought it (too intimidatingly long!) but it was worth it. The multiple narratives pulled me in and I could truly feel what it might have been like to live in India post-independence and post-partition.
