Ben Dooley

Ben joined Accel in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer, leading the finance team and overseeing the London venture funds. He is British and graduated from King's College, London.

Get to know Ben

What was your first job?

I worked at Wembley Stadium selling souvenir programs and T-shirts. It was an ideal student job. The days were often long, but there was a great camaraderie, and the atmosphere always gave me a buzz.

What is one thing you can’t live without?

In a work context, I'd say Excel. My role at Accel is broad, but I'm an accountant by trade and will always take pleasure in building an all-singing, all-dancing Excel model!

If you could master any skill instantly?

Languages. I only speak English, and while I'm incredibly fortunate that it carries in most places, I'd love to be able to adapt to whichever country I'm in (and have huge respect for my colleagues, friends, and wife who are bi/trilingual).
