Rachit joined in 2019 and focuses on early and growth-stage companies. Prior to Accel, he was a consultant at McKinsey, advising companies in financial services, real estate, and manufacturing. Earlier in his career, he was part of the founding team at a venture-backed startup, where he drove operations, hiring, fundraising, and business development. He graduated from BITS Pilani and MIT.
Get to know Rachit
What was your first job?
My first job was with a small team in the Tata Group, building the world's lowest-cost water purifier. It was a very small team with a noble mission and high visibility within a large conglomerate. I still look back at it as a job that taught me about how a small, tight-knit, and empowered team, working toward an inspiring mission that is bigger than yourself, can achieve wonders in a very short amount of time!
What’s your go-to productivity hack?
It's the oldest hack in the world – Caffeine and lots of it! It's amazing how much you can get done in a day (and night) with 5 cups of coffee :)
Who most inspires you?
This is a cliche answer, but my son (a toddler) has insatiable curiosity—he wants to learn about everything—resilience—he will keep trying until he is able to perfect something—and lots of smiles!
